Welcome to TRANSCON. This is not a typical languages website. It has not been designed for polite café conversation or learning how to compliment somebody on the new curtains in their guestroom. It is about immediate, need-to-know-right-now words and phrases for Africa, Iraq and other pleasant areas of the Middle East. The first free to use lessons in French, Kurdish, Arabic and Spanish are now available. With the growing importance of the ex-Soviet republics in the energy industry a Russian section has been added using the same format.
